Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2022 Ford E-Series Cutaway- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at Etrailer, today we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar kit, on our 2022 Ford E-Series Cutaway Motor Home. But before we get into all that, let's just take a couple of minutes, check this out, and make sure it works. Before we put our sway bar on, what we like to do is some before and after, that way we have something to kinda compare to, so right now we have all the factory components, on our motor home, and we'll run through our test course, do a couple things, and kinda get a feel for how it drives. And then once we have the sway bar installed, we'll do this again, and see if there's an improvement, and from my past experience, these usually work really well, and the difference or the improvement is really noticeable, so I don't see why it should be any different with this setup, but, with that said, why don't we hop in, and see how it does. So we'll first start by going over some bumps, and the big problem with these motor homes is that they're so top heavy. You get a ton of that body roll, you know, you feel it kinda going like this and it takes forever to come back and kinda flatten itself out. more

Hi there Ford owners. Today in your 2018 E-Series Cutaway we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster'S rear anti-sway bar. Before we put our parts on we're going to go ahead and take it out on the test course and we're going to see how she reacts.The first section we're going to come into is our uneven bumps section and this is going to simulate potholes and other uneven terrain that you might encounter out on the road. And this is one of the biggest things that's going to impact because this is really going to rock us back and forth as we're hitting a bump on one side and then the other.Now this is a smaller motor home so the sway in it really isn't that bad. You can definitely feel the sway back and forth throwing us around a little bit here, especially once we start moving a little bit faster, it really starts to throw us. Next we're going to be coming into the bump section where they're even, and this is going to be more forward and back. more

Today on our 2017 40 series cutaway, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar. Our front sway bar from Roadmaster is going to be a replacement for our factory sway bar. It's going to be a thicker, more robust sway bar. That's going to have greater anti-sway properties. Your anti-sway bar connects between one side of your suspension and then it connects to the other side.And then it's also bolted to the frame. Whenever your body on your vehicle begins to roll, it has to flex the sway bar in order to roll. more

Hi there, E-Series owners. Today, on our 2019 Ford E-Series Cutaway, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Steering Stabilizer. A replacement heavy-duty steering stabilizer from Roadmaster is going to further assist your steering wheel in maintaining a straight track when going down the road. It does this using the gas-powered shock absorber with the spring located on it. The spring will not only compress, but it also will pull. So if you turn your wheel one direction, the spring compresses, and it wants to uncompress back to its normal position. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today, on our 2019 Ford E-Series cutaway, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar. Now, our motorhomes are big squares that are known to be top heavy, which can be really difficult to drive straight down the road, especially on those windy days or on that bumpy terrain. Well, that's where the rear sway bar is going to come into play. It's going to help stiffen up that chassis and help eliminate that sway in the motorhome, making it a lot easier to keep in a straight line and drive without worrying too much. Now, since the sway bar is in the back, it's really only going to help combat that sway here in the rear of the camper, but to help offset that and do the same thing upfront, I'd recommend the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar.Now, let's go ahead and take our motorhome on the test course. more

Today on our 2018 Jayco Greyhawk Ford E Series Cutaway, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Front Anti Sway Bar for Motor Homes.You can see the difference between our old sway bar, and our new sway bar. You can tell how much bigger our new ones is. This is gonna give us quite a bit more stability than our old one. Our new one is gonna be constructed of 4140 chrome alloy steel. This is really going to reduce the amount of sway and body roll you get in an RV. You're also going to get new polyurethane bushing, or urethane bushings. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2017 Ford E series cutaway, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar, part number RM-1139-176.We have a look under the front of our RV, and look at our factor sway bar here, you can see how small in diameter it is. By being a small diameter, it's not going to be very rigid. This isn't going to help us too much in minimizing the side-to-side movements of a motor home as we drive down the road. It's also going to tend to lead us to have a little bit more body roll than we would like to have.We hold up our replacement sway bar to it, you can see how much thicker in diameter it is. This is going to make it more rigid and help minimize the amount of body roll and side-to-side movement we're going to have as we drive down the road, giving us the stability and the safety that we're looking for. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford E-Series cutaway, we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the Road Master Reflux steering stabilizer with mounting bracket for class C motor homes, part number RM-RBK24-RSSC.This is what our steering stabilizer looks like when it's installed. What this is gonna do, it's gonna help you keep your vehicle going down the road straight. What I mean by that is, is if you're driving your RV down the highway and you hit a crosswind or maybe you passed a semi trailer, you know how big those are, and when they push that wind, because the RV is top heavy, it wants to lean. When it leans, the driver has to fight the steering wheel. It causes fatigue. What this is gonna do for you, say you turn one way and it compresses, when you let go of the steering wheel, that spring is gonna force it to come back out, and bring your steering wheels back to straight. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway we're gonna be installing the roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer. Part number RM-RBK24-RSSC. This is what our steering stabilizer's gonna look like when it's installed. As you can see it's much more robust than our original, and it has a coil spring to help assist returning it to center.The biggest difference that sets this one apart from the others is the coil spring. When the coil spring is compressed, it's gonna wanna uncompress itself, returning it to center. And when it's extended, it's gonna wanna retract, again bringing it back to center. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Ford E-450 Chassis Class C Motorhome, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class C Motorhomes, part number:RM-RBK24-RSSC.Here's what our steering stabilizer looks like fully installed. It's gonna replace our factory stabilizer, and it's gonna help maintain the vehicle tracking down center, and help correct over steering. Now, there is a variety of things that can make your vehicle veer; whether it be cross winds, uneven pavement, or even a tire blowout, the key to a pleasant and safe driving experience is learning how to deal with these situations. Our steering stabilizer is gonna work to return the vehicle to center when something happens that causes it to swerve or jolt. The steel spring is gonna be working constantly to help maintain the vehicle going in a forward, neutral position. When it's compressed, the spring is gonna push back out, and when the spring is extended, it's gonna be pulling back in.Whether you're upgrading from your factory one, or replacing it, it's definitely gonna have a lot more tension than our factory stabilizer here. more

Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear Axle Stabilizer Installation - 2017 Ford E Series Cutaway- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Forest River Sunseeker, on the E450 chassis we're going to be taking a look at, and we're also going to show you how to install the Blue Ox TigerTrak. This is a rear axle stabilizer, part number is TT2450. The TigerTrak system is designed to keep our axle squarely under the frame of our RV. It's going to create a connection point from the axle to the frame, so they can't move side to side anymore. This helps to eliminate a lot of common problems you're going to get with RVs, especially most RVs have a real long overhang behind that axle. Once a passing vehicle or a crosswind hits the backside of this RV, it doesn't take a whole lot to get that moving side to side. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2017 Ford E-Series Cutaway RM-1139-147- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2017 Forest River Sunseeker on the Ford E450 chassis, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Road Master rear anti-sway bar. Part number is RM-1139-147.Now here's our Road Master Sway Bar once we have it installed. Now this sway bar is going to do a much better job then our factory sway bar at preventing that side-to-side body roll. That's something that's typically going to happen if you're in severe crosswinds, passing an 18 wheeler, uneven road surfaces can cause the RV to lean a little bit side-to-side and ultimately that leads to you having to put more input into the steering to keep it tracking straight down the road.When we put on an upgrade this substantial you're going to have a noticeable difference in the way your RV handles so as you're cornering through mountain roads through stuff like that, you're RV will stay a lot more level, but also just in your normal straight highway style driving, a lot less driver input going in there. You're going to reduce the driver fatigue and you won't have to fight you steering wheel so much to keep going in a straight line.Now here's a good look at the difference you're going to have between the Road Master Sway Bar and your factor sway bar. The diameter of the factory sway bar is about an inch and an eighth. more

Today on our 2016 Ford E450 Motor Home, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the road master rear anti-sway bar, part number RM-1139-147. Here on our factory sway bar you'll see that we're going to have a lot of axle movement in relation to the vehicle. That's going to transfer into a lot of movement at the top of our RV. This is going to make for a lot more movement in the RV as we're heading down the road, making it a little more difficult to control. Here with our new sway bar installed, you're going to see a noticeable difference. You'll also feel a difference from inside the vehicle. We don't have nearly the weight transfer side to side at the top of the RV. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2016 Ford E-Series Cutaway RM-RBK11-RSSC- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford E450 Motor Home we are going to take a look at and show you how to install the Road Master Reflex Steering Stabilizer with mounting brackets for Class C Motor Homes. Part number is RM-RVK11-RSSC. Here you can see our factory stabilizer and it does an okay job of keeping our wheel from being pulled one way or another. The return to center kind of has some lag and you just don't feel like it wants to come back to the middle, it takes a lot of driver input. The Reflex Stabilizer installed, you can see of course it is going to do a good job of keeping our wheel from moving when we don't want to, but it also going to hold it in center. That way won't have to worry about our wheels being drug one way or the other. You can see as we go around the corners and it straightens back out, it returns to center much quicker, requiring a lot less driver input to get us heading the direction that we want to go. Here is what our stabilizer is going to look like installed. As you can see, really neat looking set up, you can really tell that you have upgraded this stabilizer with this set up. more

Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear Axle Stabilizer Installation - 2016 Ford E Series Cutaway- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford E-450 motor home, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Blue Ox TigerTrak rear axle stabilizer. Part number is TT2450. Right here's what our bar's going to look like once we have it installed. As you can see, axle bracket here gives us a great solid, sturdy connection point. That ties our axle directly up here to our frame. In doing this, we're going to eliminate the movement that we have here between the frame and the springs. That's going to give us a much stiffer rear end, so we're not going to have that wagging as we're heading down the road. more

Here is what the sway bar is going to look like when we actually get it installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it gives us a really nice look. You can tell it is definitely been upgraded, it is much beefier. What this is going to do, this is going to help our driving characteristics as we are maneuvering and making corners, it helps our vehicle stay much more flat, so we don't get that feel that we are swaying so far side to side. more
